Living in the space of what's comfortable will stem your growth.

To quote a good friend and colleague of mine in the world spiritual development Nick Bell, "Deeply surrendering can be scary. The things we hold on to, while they may not serve us, become somewhat of a comfort to us, giving us a sense of safety. Beliefs, patterns, disowned parts of ourselves. When we surrender and let go of them it can initially feel like falling from a great height. We are terrified and would do anything to have our sense of safety back, however limiting it was. When we release this fear and allow ourselves to fall into deep surrender, we come to realise that we are not falling, we are flying."
